A good remedial therapist will start with an assessment of your posture, and inquire into your daily activities (type of work, diet, exercise). Obvious physical imbalance (to a trained eye) will direct how the session will unfold.

A variety of treatment techniques can be used, including trigger point therapy, deep tissue, and stretching. It is not a massage to relax and unwind you. You have presented with a specific problem – which will be addressed in the best way possible.

Expect to give constant feedback, change position frequently, and leave with homework to do. It may be a series of stretches, the task of being more aware of your posture, and looking to change bad habits.
